The first single-vineyard created here, in the late 18th century. More black soil than in the Soave Classico. This is very good, meshing the inherent ripeness of the vintage with a mineral-infused pungency. Green apples, quince and stone fruit. Yet the feel is linear, cool and taut, with a growing trajectory of fruit sweetness across the long, energetic finish. A pithy exclamation to close. Drink or hold.
This excellent white Chateauneuf combines creamy richness and citrusy freshness in a compelling way. Stacks of pomelo and grapefruit character on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Long, structured finish with excellent fresh sage and citrus rind complexity. A cuvee of 60% clairette, 20% grenache blanc, 10% bourboulenc and 10% roussanne. Fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel.
A broad nose with good depth, full of creamy and yeasty notes with white fruit, chalk and seashells. Intense and concentrated flavors with a medium to full body and a refined, creamy mousse that lasts to the lengthy finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
Sour cherries with stone and bark undertones to the aromas. Medium body, firm tannins and a long, linear finish that ends tight. But this will soften with some age. Subtle bark and dried mushroom character at the end. Drink after 2025, but already pretty.
A layered and well-balanced Chateauneuf-du-Pape with aromas of wild berries, dried herbs, leather, roasted meat and stones. It’s full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Lots of layers and poise with a restrained character on the palate, despite the generous nature of the vintage. Complex and velvety with lots of cherry character and dried herbs towards the finish. Funnelled and structured with great focus and length.
Lots of cherries, red berries, cola and caramel on the aromatic nose. Medium body with fine, firm tannins and bright acidity. Juicy and crunchy with a peppery edge and a flavorful, focused finish. 60% grenache, 20% syrah and 20% mourvedre. Drink or hold.
Wild herbs and tangy white-pepper notes on top of the fresh-toned red and black cherries, plums and hints of citrus zest, sweet red berries and minerals. Polished, dusty tannins spread evenly across the medium-bodied palate, with juicy, vivid plums and berries. Nothing showy here, but it’s beautifully balanced and understated, showing real fruit vibrancy and harmony. Drinkable now, but will hold well, too.
So much fresh mushroom and bark with blue and black fruit in the nose. It’s full-bodied, turning tight and lightly chewy on the mid-palate. Long and racy
A very rich red with blueberries, chocolate and hints of minerals and cedar. It’s full-to medium-bodied with chewy tannins and a savory finish. Nice combination of blue fruit and spices.
This shows aromas of plums and blueberries with milk chocolate, hazelnuts and crushed violets. Some crushed stones, too. Full-bodied with firm tannins that continue to build up throughout the palate. Deep core of ripe black and blue fruit. Chewy and tight, this needs some time to settle together. Lingering finish with hints of blue flowers.
Medium-bodied with a good core of red fruit and lightly firm, nicely integrated tannins. Fluid palate.
This offers dark fruit and good depth, from a vintage that has delivered really expressive fruit aromas, in the dark-cherry, violet, wet-stone and blackcurrant spectrum. The palate has a very intense, powerful core with dark-berry, plum and chocolate flavors. Crisp, fine tannins. Drink or hold.
