A seriously structured dry riesling for a village wine, with excellent leesy and chalky complexity on the creamy, salty, medium-bodied palate. Still youthful and quite tightly wound in the long, complete finish. Almost at GG level and capable of aging a decade. From organically grown grapes. Vegan.

The 2023 Riesling Kalkstein Saulheim was harvested from vines at least 20 years old on limestone soils. Fermented 60% in Stück, with the rest in stainless steel, it stayed on gross lees for eight months. The nose is pristine with white peach, salt and immensely animating, scented lemon, almost like an ocean breeze. This is a really pure, bright, pristine Riesling with exquisite contour. It boasts an elegant, elongated finish and a fine-boned limestone nature. (Bone-dry)

Crama Thörle, condusă cu pasiune de frații Christoph și Johannes din 2006, îmbină tradiția familiei cu o filosofie modernă, sustenabilă, trecând la viticultura ecologică în inima regiunii Rheinhessen, Germania. Thörle Saulheim Riesling Kalkstein 2023 Eco este un vin alb sec, elegant și expresiv, obținut din soiul Riesling, fermentat natural în butoaie de lemn și tancuri inox. Culoarea este galben-pai strălucitor. Olfactiv este seducător, cu note de caise coapte, piersici galbene și tonuri minerale subtile. Gustul este echilibrat, cu o structură fină, arome de ierburi proaspete, condimente cremoase și o salinitate vibrantă provenită din solurile bogate în calcar. Se recomandă servirea la 8–10°C, alături de antreuri ușoare sau salate sofisticate. Un vin BIO, complex și viu, cu un excelent potențial de învechire și o personalitate autentică.
